It is a long time since 1999 when I stood at the top of Ben More on Mull with family and friends to complete my round of Scotland’s 282 (at that time there were 284) Munro’s. To embark on a lifelong dialogue with a landscape in constant motion. Across four distinct seasons, these ancient peaks rarely wear the same face twice, trading winter’s arctic stillness for the fiery bracken of autumn and summer’s endless golden twilights. The photographs gathered here are landscapes and capture that restless spirit, chasing fleeting moments when storm clouds fracture to illuminate jagged ridges and mist-filled glens. They are less about reaching the summits and more about witnessing the temperamental, ever-shifting Highland light that defines them. Each frame stands as a testament to patience, cold dawns, and the quiet magic found between the rain showers. May this collection inspire you to look closer at the wild, unpredictable beauty of the Scottish hills.
